The academic secondments serve to study comparative coastal landscapes and archaeological sites/materials or methods.

The non-academic institutions provide secondments for practical/applied training in intersectoral aspects central to ArCHe, such as

  1. public communication through the visual media sector and museums
  2. cultural heritage management
  3. applied coastal geology/coastal engineering
  4. a non-governmental organisation dealing with underwater archaeological survey
